Unit 6 Blog
In the last 6 weeks, I have personally been dealing with personal issues with my daughter and her father. Also now that I am working, as a single mom I sometimes have a hard time staying caught up. I personally don't see how this relates to my topic, however, I do have a cousin whom was born with birth defects because of alcohol consumption. Because of the alcohol, he will never walk a day in his life. It breaks my heart because he will never have a chance to go out and play like most kids want to do. He will never live a normal life, but I hope that all will change someday.

Unit 5 Blog
At this point, school has really influenced me a lot. It makes me want to be a better person and to be more successful. My schooling and grades are going great. I didn't think that I can do as well as I am being that I haven't been in any type of school for 5 years. I am extremely proud of myself and for how well I am doing. I want to continue to walk this path and I know I will continue to do good. In the end, it will all be worth it and I will be the person that I sought out to be. I am not just doing this for me, but I am also doing this for my daughter. I want to give her a way better life than I ever had.

Unit 4 Blog
I think we need every little information to cite our sources such as the authors name and date published, name of article, volume and issue number, and the date the article was retrieved on. If someone used something I created without giving me credit for it, I would be very upset about it. Depending on the situation, I would probably try to sue if I can. There are times when a new technology or a TV show comes out that someone had thought of first. I have heard of many companies getting sued for releasing a technology someone thought of first and I have seen TV shows get cancelled for taking ideas from another show. These companies should sue for not receiving credit for their ideas. I do think that the Internet blurs lines. For example, people who sing or play a song on you tube tend not to give the artist the proper credit for their song. That's not fair to these artists that work really hard on their songs for it to be played on the Internet for the world to see without credit.

Unit 3 blog
I love being a student online. It's great and very conveniant for me. As a single mother it can be pretty tough trying to balance taking care of a baby, working, and trying to go to school on campus. Taking class online helps me manage my time and balance things much better. I also love that I get to meet many new people and making new friends. I still look forward to get to know other fellow classmates.
